TraceForge Engineering is an independent educational studio for modern device engineering. We built it for juniors and self-taught engineers who want one steady place to learn boards, silicon, phones, notebooks, and factory flow — without noise or accounts.
Inside the app you forge learning paths, dock real lab tools, explore the Fab Atlas, and read Career Signal guidance. Your lessons, quizzes, prototypes, and study minutes stay on your device.
Career Signal and similar features are educational guidance only. TraceForge does not promise jobs, interviews, or hiring outcomes. Fab Atlas content is public educational geography — not classified or real-time capacity intelligence. TraceForge is not affiliated with any foundry, OEM, ODM, or semiconductor company.
Privacy policy
Your study record stays on your device.
TraceForge is built offline-first. We do not operate user accounts, and we do not sell personal information.
This Privacy Policy describes how TraceForge Engineering (the “Application”) handles information when you use our educational device-engineering studio for iPhone and iPad. The Application is provided by Ivan Filjic (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
Information We Collect
TraceForge does not require an account, sign-up, or login. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or location inside the app. We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
The following data is stored locally on your device only:
- Onboarding status and selected career goal
- Lesson progress, quiz scores, bookmarks, and completed lessons
- Domain mastery, streaks, study minutes, and badge unlocks
- Prototype Tracker entries and Rail Planner attempts
- Visited Fab Atlas sites and lab tools used
- Weekly study goal and haptics preference
- Widget snapshot fields (streak, mastery, next lesson) shared via the on-device App Group
How We Use Information
Because we do not collect personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to profile, share, or sell. Curriculum content, quizzes, Fab Atlas dossiers, Career Signal guidance, and lab tools run using data stored on your device.
Data Storage & Retention
Progress is saved in the Application’s private documents storage on your device. A small widget snapshot may be written to the App Group container so the Home Screen widget and Live Activity can update. There is no cloud sync and no remote backup operated by us. Deleting the Application removes associated local data from your device.
Live Activities & Widgets
If you start a study session or add the TraceForge widget, those features use Apple system frameworks on your device. We do not receive Lock Screen or widget content on our servers.
Third-Party Services
TraceForge’s core learning content is bundled on-device. The Application does not embed advertising networks or analytics SDKs. Opening this website or the App Store listing uses your device’s network connection; that browsing is governed by Apple’s and your browser’s policies, not by in-app telemetry from TraceForge.
Children’s Privacy
The Application does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because no personal data is collected or transmitted to us, the app aligns with COPPA and similar standards for on-device educational tools.
Your Control
You can edit goals, clear progress by resetting onboarding where available, remove local entries in lab tools, or uninstall the Application to remove stored content from your device.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect app improvements or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. The core commitment — local storage, no accounts, no sale of personal data — will not change without clear notice.
